Problem with swinstall
I am trying to install jetadmin software using the 'swinstall' command but was unable to do so due to permission problems with regard to 'swacl'.
What can I do to overcome this problem?
Thanks

Re: Problem with swinstall
KBRC00000273 When running swinstall or any Software Distributor operation, receiving permission errors:
You do not have the required permissions to select this target. Please check to see that you
have the required permissions using the "swacl" command .......

Re: Problem with swinstall
patch cluster to my K570.
It turned out to be that the `hostname` ip address swinstall was trying to reach (as a software depot) was down. Even if you are installing locally, swinstall seems to use the network to install onto himself.
Check to make sure that your `hostname` is pingable.

Re: Problem with swinstall
First I stop and restart swagentd, then I make sure my depot is properly registered (swreg -l depot
Then if all else fails I see what else on this thread might apply:

Re: Problem with swinstall
if it is from cd or tape, it is easier to do from the same server
the best way i've seen to do it remotely is to set it up in a depot
i beleive in the above replies they give links to the procedures for that
But anyway, with more info on where and how your installing the software would be helpfull
