Problems installing HP-UX 11i on D210

Hi!
Im trying to install HP-UX 11i on a D210 (100MHz, 256MB RAM). It works just fine until it prompts for terminal type. It just hangs from there, and i cant do anything. Any ideas?

Hi,
How to the system work in single user?
If fine what do you find in /etc/rc.log?
Is /etc/inittab corrupted?

I suppose that here everyone is willing to help but you dont give use much information...

All the best

Re: Problems installing HP-UX 11i on D210

You have a terminal problem--it's not transmitting in response to a terminal ID request. What kind of terminal are you using? A real terminal or a PC with some sort of emulator like Hyperterminal? Even Hyperterminal will respond to a basic vt100 id probe. You can enter a terminal ID but if it seems to hang, most likely the terminal ID request has confused your terminal (emulator) and you will have even more problems later as HP-UX tools expect a reasonable terminal response. Download a copy of QCTerm so you'll have a real HP terminal emulator (if you are using a PC as a terminal).
