Problems printing to parallel port on HP/UX 11.11

I have a HP4600 connected to the parallel porton a C3700 running HP/UX 11.11. I am unable to send any data to the printer. I have tired to cat a file directly to the device (bypassing the lpsched) but the cat command nevers returns. I have connected printers to an HP/UX 10.20 system, but this is the first time I have tried it on a HP/UX 11.11 system.

Any ideas what could be wrong? The system is in another city so I have to relay on someone else to examin the printer. The printer had worked on another system (SCO Unix) before it was moved to the HP.
