problems with configuration of samba on hp 10.20

Hi all,
i need your help.

I have installed samba 2.2.3 on my hp-ux 10.20 ws.

I configured the file smb.conf but don't work in the correct way.
Because Win 2000 show me the shared directory but I can't access to them. The error on Win 2000 is "//gehp31/public/" The network name cannot be found

In the log of machine the error is:

Quick start

run swverify \* and see if there are anyt issues with the install.

Check the install log and see if there are problems there.

ps -ef | grep smb

Please attche the contents of your smb.conf file so that people can further assist you.

You have run the command
/opt/samba/bin/smbpasswd -a user1 password

This authorizes external access.

Perhaps the reason you go no replies is there is I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the goal that generates the error message.
