Problems with make_sys_image
I'm trying for the first time to create a golden image using make_sys_image, but I'm getting some odd errors.
Running the command "/tmp/make_sys_image -s cdehp02" runs okay for a couple of minutes, then gives the following:
* Archiving contents of cdehp01 via tar to
cdehp02:/var/tmp/cdehp01.gz.
rcmd: cdehp02: Unknown host
ERROR: remsh failed: /usr/bin/remsh cdehp02 -l root cat >/var/tmp/cdehp01.gz
* Cleanup: Do Not interrupt, restoring files, kernel, and transition links.
The .rhosts is okay and the client and server are both in each other's hosts files, so I can't see what the problem could be.

Re: Problems with make_sys_image
First place to look is /etc/inetd.conf
Those nasty little Berkley protocols which you want turned off for security reasons? They need to be turned on for the start of the Ignite push/pull process.
The lines containing remshd and rexecd need to be uncommented.
save the file
inetd -c
Try again.
Don't forget to re-secure this file once the Ignite push is complete.
I'm attaching my standard make_sys_image script just in case it might help.

Re: Problems with make_sys_image
Hi Norman,
I don't remember exactly, but it remains to me that you have to setup the tftp server, with the correct path/right in inetd.conf
