problems with 'sftp '


Hello all,

I have installed 'ssh' on one of our hp-ux boxes. I am trying to connect to another unix host outside the firewall. Hence, I socksified ssh command by using 'socksify'. ssh is now working fine and I am able to connect to the external host.

When I tried socksifying 'sftp', I got a message reading:

$ socksify /opt/openssh2/bin/sftp->/opt/socks/bin/sftp ... Found nothing to change.

But sftp is not able to connect to the external host. I am getting a time out error. Looks like the tool is not able to connect via the socks server.

Please help me in resolving this issue.
