Re: Problems with Signaling System 7
Please explain further as to what you use SS7 for, which interface card you are using, what OS you are running, and if possible what device driver and patch level you have for the device driver.
also for the "SS7 application? can you provide the name, version and manufacturer.

Re: Problems with Signaling System 7
OS version: Perhaps HP-UX 11, 10.20, 11.ii(11i)
SS7 means nothing to me. What company built the application. In general, what is it supposed to do?
Thanks.

Re: Problems with Signaling System 7
The specification is:
Server:??hp rp2740
Machine identification number:??978027831
Machine hardware and model names: 9000/800
Release level of the operating system:B.11.00
Name of the operative system:??HP-UX (Standard system)
This machine is a SMSC, But we have problems, the operate system falls and is necessary to reboot the equipment.
In my event.log we have the following error:
Kernle Interface Error" med_mo_hab failed to submit message, KIF Error = [EKIINVROUTINGEXP]

Re: Problems with Signaling System 7
The error message you posted appears to be from the SS7 application rather than from HP-UX. Here's where I'd go next:
1) check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.txt <- this is one place where HP-UX errors are logged. Are there any errors reported around the time of the SS7 error message. You could post them here to see if anyone recognises them.
2) speak to Logica, to see if they've seen your error message before.
regards,
Darren.
