processes error
I'm trying to logon to a system but cant because of the error:
checking for disk quotas
could not execute quota command
and I have seen your previous solutions to this problem but in my case the system doesn't allow me to execute any command,gives the error:
cannot fork:too many processes
Cannot telnet to the server.what do I do to be able to access and change the parameter that may be causing the problem
please help

Hi,
I'm afraid, you have to reboot the computer.
On the computers's console press CNTRL-B and input command RS (reset).

Thanks for the reply.The system is a vpar and I have tried the command vparboot -p but i have the ff error:
vparboot:Error:Virtual partition must be in the down state
seems not to be taking it down,is there another way to boot it??

Hi,
Agree with Victor, but try to TC (TOC) to let the system write a dump. You can later analyze (let HP analyze) the dump to check if you need to change kernel parameters.
