processor missing in glance and

We have a simple Script that runs a number of 'ps -ef' and for some reason it is taking up 100% CPU and is showing up as a running process. We can see the process using top and shows CPU util at 100%+. Yet It can't be killed using a 'kill -9' and when we look at glance it displays 'active CPU'S' as 3 and not the full 4. It is a N4000 with 4 processors What can we do to rectify this.

Howard,
are all of your processors working?
How many processors does top show?
You are not reading the glace report across are you (Active Procs,CPU Util) ;-)
Can you please include a copy of the script?

top shows cpu 0-4,

glance shows

Active CPUs: 3

one of the processeors has been taken out by the rogue process which top shows as running on ID CPU3 which is the fourth processor

Start xstm and check your cpu's, but I would call HP support and log a hardware call.
