.profile[12]: ulimit: exceeds allowable limit

I am getting the following error whenever i try to login to the system. Can someone please help me with this ASAP?

Hi,

In .profile you have set the ulimit to a higher value

You need to login via some other user,
su root and then edit .profile and comment out the entry
"Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak."
