proftpd start at boot time!!
Hello,
I have installed and configured proftpd. I also configured the proftpd in /etc/inetd.conf file. I want that when my server reboots this daemon could come up automatically.
Please suggest ..
Regards,
Amit

Re: proftpd start at boot time!!
If you put proftpd in /etc/inetd.conf, the daemon does not start during boot up. It gets started by inetd whenever there is an ftp connection to your server. If you want to run proftp as a standalone daemon you need to create a start up file for it and take it out from inetd.conf.
Have you tried connecting to your server via ftp? You might connect up fine to it.
