ps2pdf -> landscape document rotated 90 c.w. on reader

I am using the a2x(version 1.0 download from hpux software catalog website) to convert text files into ps to prepare for pdf conversion using ghostscript. It works fine and almost meet my requirements.

but after converted to pdf, the landscape file is rotated 90 degree clockwise by default when it is opened up in acrobat reader, is there a way to present landscape in landscape and portrait in portrait display?

Any tips on postscript program that can do the trick?
