psmond running at 100%
i just configured Predictive version c.10.2.m on a K380 server. Everything is running fine and he is sending his reports to HP.
No problems so far.
But when i set the schedule to ON, psmond is starting to use 100% cpu time. Is there something that i'm missing here.
I already did restart psmond and the ocd. But nothing seems to help. When i set the schedule back to OFF and restart psmond, everything is fine again.
Does anyone has any experience with this.
with kind regards,
Heiko

Re: psmond running at 100%
try this.
a)Use psmond -k to stop the psmond.
b)psconfig and enter the required fields if needed.
(Note Initial run of Predictive fail's since psmond is stopped.)
c)Use psconfig to reschedule each scanner as below.
c1)Item 4.Enter the CONFIGURATION Options Menu
c2)Item 7.Enter the UTILITIES Menu
c3)Use sub-menu for each item below and set the SCHEDULE to "default" or a
desired interval. Always respond "y" when asked to save the values.
ArrayScan Monitor,DISCSCAN (10.20 only),EMS Monitor,LOGSCAN ,
MEMSCAN , Processor Monitor , SCSISCAN
ServiceGuard Monitor (Do not enable this one, just set SCHEDULE)
c4)Exit psconfig, responding with "y" if any unsaved value needs saving.
d)Execute psmond to restart the psmond process.
e)Use top to check that psmond no longer uses CPU time.
f)Execute psconfig run to verify Predictive .

Re: psmond running at 100%
After i disabled all the monitors in the menu configuration/utilities. Did a psmond -k. (to shutdown predictive)
Then enabled all the monitors and restarted psmond. Psmond stoped using a 100% cpu.
thnx again for the replies.
