pty error

Hi all,
in the syslog I find:
Oct 27 16:24:21 nmcsa03 rlogind[10535]: Error while granting access to slave pty
Oct 27 16:26:29 nmcsa03 rlogind[10705]: Error while granting access to slave pty
I cannot open any terminal... after 5 minuts all is gone ok. Why????

Re: pty error

Try this,

//Quote //

The reason for the error message is that there are not enough Streams Slave PTY's being made. You need to execute:

insf -d pts -s 100 -e

//EndQuote//

Try itrc doc A4711360

Hope this helps.

Re: pty error

Do you have enough psuedo terminal devices?

kernel parameters:
npty
nstrpty

The default is 60 and that might not be enough.
