PuTTY Fatal Error Message Box: using SSH
I have a user that is experiencing this error when trying to log in using a SSH connection using Putty. Has anyone seen this.

look in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for more info.

This is caused by sshd on the server side. Check on the server if you see traces of the connection and any errors in the syslog. You can also run sshd in debug mode to see more details.

many possibilities exists as the cause of this error but looking at the "Server unexpectedly closed network connection" message, there may be a mechanism to prevent users from directly logging into application service accounts like oracle9i. There might be an implied expectancy that user login to his own personal account then su into this account. Is there such a mechanism implemented on your servers ? Can this user login to any other accounts using the same workstation and same putty setup ?
