Pvlink status error
I have a customer who has pvlinks set up and is getting a critical error (HPUX OS /vg/vg02/pv_pvlink/status/c68t4d2 EMS Problem Event: Value: "DOWN(3)" For Resource: "/vg/vg02/pv_pvlink/status/c68t4d2" (Threshold: != UP) yet when he looks at the syslog there are no issues. Ioscan shows everything is good.

Re: Pvlink status error
This was a known problem with EMS that was fixed initially in the following patches:
[PHSS_28144/PACHRDME/English] for HPUX 11.0
[PHSS_28145/PACHRDME/English] for HPUX 11.11
[PHSS_28144/PACHRDME/English] for HPUX 11.0
[PHSS_28145/PACHRDME/English] for HPUX 11.11

Re: Pvlink status error
thanks for the quick response. I have checked on the system and and that patch was superceded by PHSS_28844 and that is applied on the system. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Re: Pvlink status error
you said ioscan shows all good..
Is there any time stamp associated in EMS?
And if you can check diskinfo, you should be all good..
Check if EMS is repeating these messages..
might be time to reset your fibre..
Thanks and regards
Prashant
