Re: pwage reuse password

Angelo,

I'm not sure what pwage is, but the standard place to configure password aging and the like in HP-UX is in the file /etc/default/security

Re: pwage reuse password

There is one tool pwage, which is used only for managing password aging. You can change pwd age, enable, disable it, but cannot change passwords.
Can you give more details for passwords reuse ? What exactly you tried to change ?

Re: pwage reuse password

Hello,

/etc/default/security is not present.
On the system I have pwplus as well.

If i set a password I would avoid that on next password change the user can set one of the old pwd he set in the past.

I would like to avoid password reuse.

thanks

Re: pwage reuse password

Your problem is comming from pwplus, not from pwage.

With pwplus installed you cannot use previous passwords. See in pwplus documentation how to temporally disable it.
There is no configuration file for pwplus to change these settings.
