Re: PXE-E16: Valid PXE offer not received.

Your dbprofile looks good to me.

Qustions/assumptions:
1) lan1: 01 is a good properly connected nic on the 10.3.90.0 net

2) 10.3.90.14 is a running Ignite server

3) You have the latest version of ignite

4) unknown platforms ( PA-RISC, IA ) ??

5) HPUX version of Ignite server ?

Yes

2) 10.3.90.14 is a running Ignite server
Yes

3) You have the latest version of ignite
Yes
IGNITE C.7.6.100 HP-UX Installation Utilities (Ignite-UX)

4) unknown platforms ( PA-RISC, IA ) ??
Itanium Blade.. and I am running this command on the VMGuest

5) HPUX version of Ignite server ?
C.7.6.100

Ignite server(HP05) is also in the same enclosure as this server(HP02) is..& from the same ignite server(HP05) I have ignited this Blade(HP02) which is a VM Host now.

I have two VMGuests on it..And so created a dbprofile for the ignite... but again it failed...

I know somewhere I should have missed out something...

Re: PXE-E16: Valid PXE offer not received.

I have one IP avaliable for VM03B, but i am unable to figure out where I am making a mistake.

The ignite server is working fine. But when I create a dbprofile and netboot it i receive the below error:-

Shell> lanboot select -dn igniteprof
01 Acpi(PNP0A03,0)/Pci(1|0)/Mac(16E699548F24)

Re: PXE-E16: Valid PXE offer not received.

The virtual NIC is bound to physical lan0, right?

The physical lan0 is connected to the network, right?

I'm not sure if dbprofile always works with HPVM 03.50, you can try without the dbprofile option (just lanboot select) and adjust the bootptab file on the ignite server with the clients MAC address.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
