[Q] client installing error when using the igniteUX server
I installed & configured igniteUX 5.4.50 and igniteUX server at j6750 B.11.11
then, received golden image B.11.11 at HQ located in USA, and set up completed.
so, I boot the client(c8000) and interrupt because of igniteUX installing
boot lan.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx install
I typed upper commands and tried network install (igniteUX installing).
In installing logview, error occurred at disk configuring part after disk creating, expanding message showed.
error File: /sbin/fs/hfs/mkfs not found.
error File: /sbin/fs/hfs/newfs not found.
error File: /sbin/fs/hfs/mkfs not found.
did not process since this message occured.
I am not sure this problem is server side, or golden image.
I think impact in config file is correct.
My calculating (archive_impact command) and received impact file by HQ showed the same results, so I copied core11.cfg to customized file and typed correct impact values.
I can't installing a client yet, I can't proceed next step (UAT).
plz, help me with your kind & wise knowledge.
thx..

Re: [Q] client installing error when using the igniteUX server
from this error message, it sounds like, whoever created your golden image, did not do a good job. Somehow, these files, mkfs & newfs did not get into the golden image.
The correct impact value calculation only verifies that you have the same image that they sent you, nothing happened to it on the way. But it does not necessarily guarantee the proper operation of the image.
without mkfs and newfs commands, a system can run perfectly fine after installation as long as you do not create new filesystems but when it comes to cold installing a filesystem, they are obviously necessary.
If I were you, I would contact USA HQ and copy this error message to them and ask them to create a new image and test it in their own servers first before they send it to you.
