question about path

Hi All

I have MSA1000 without SAN switch, and I have direct connection between MSA storage and server one FC card in server, and I don't understand why part disk have two path and part have one path,I have connection trough one line cord to one fc card,Please explain me this, thanks a lot for help.

On MSA 100 I have created 10 LUN's (units)

I'm almost 100% sure what the reason is ;-)

Did you use the "default" or any other profile for the LUNs on the MSA?

It must be "HP" (-UX).

probably yes, beacuse i don't change profile on MSA1000, thanks again Torsten, I check it.
i have addition question why i can't communicate with MSA trough HPUX HP CLI only way is direct connection trough RJ45, why?

The array and the server will "speak different languages" if the profile setting is wrong - they can't understand each other ...

Did you install the HPACUCLI depot?

Have a look into the readme.

From the readme:

If /opt/compaq/hpacucli/bld is already added in your path, just type:
"hpacucli".

I never used this. Does it for for you?
