Can anyone tell me the procedures for mounting a file system from one HPUX 11 box to another? I tried it the Solaris way but I keep getting a permission denied error whenever I try to access the file system.
Also, out of curiousity, can a Solaris file system be mounted on a HPUX machine?
Thanks!!!

SolutionI have 2 systems ( A and B )
i have to export a FS from A to B.
With SAM ( A) -> networking and communications -> networked FSs-> Exported Local FileSystem-> Action-> Add Exported file System
On B: SAM -> FileSystems-> Disks and FileSystems-> Action-> Add Remote FSs -> Using the NFS automounter
About the second question , the response is YES : it's possible to mount a Solaris FS on HP-UX using NFS

Re: Questions about automount
Ensure that the /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf has the NFS services set to run and that thew AUTOMOUNT flag in the file is set to 1.
There would need to be an automounter process running.
