Questions posted to 2 categories

This is probably irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, but I'm going to post about it anyway.....

In the past week or so I've noticed where folks have been posting the same question / problem to 2 different categories. Generally they have been posted to the General and System Administration categories. Would you please not do that? If you post your question or problem to one category or the other, it will get seen and more than likely answered by someone. It may take a while for an answer sometimes, but I have seen very few questions, at least in the HP-UX forum, that don't get answered.

By posting to 2 different categories it makes it very difficult to follow the thread. I may respond to the question in one category and someone else may respond to the question in the 2nd category and both may have information that would help to solve the problem.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. I feel better now. :)

Hi Patrick,

thanks for this good feedback. You are definitely right to point the finger at duplicate postings which sometimes cause trouble.
It naturally makes it difficult for all to follow along since there are 2 or 3 versions of the same discussion going.
