Quick question..

At what point in the boot process can I reset the root password ?? Thanks in advance

Boot in single user mode:

interrupt the bootsequence from console (going to ISL).
Type "hpux -is" or "boot -is" (depends on your system).
After booted in singleuser mode, you can use "passwd" to change it.

When you get the # prompt you can change the password

Hi,

If your system is not in trusted mode just boot to ISL and change the root psssword.
