"cut and paste" in CDE's dtpad

hy admin's,
why can't i use "cut and paste" in CDE x-windowssystem on HP-UX 11? There is no reaction, if i use it!

are you on a PC by anychance using reflectionsX, Exceed ? or is this a genuine unix workstation ?

in the case of Exceed : Xconfig ->

X Selection

The "X Selection" settings should be "PRIMARY" and all
checkboxes below should be selected.

X Auto Copy X Selection X Auto Paste To X Selection
X Copy on Focus Loss

This settings are required if you want to do a "Cut&Paste"
of a string from a HPUX Xclient input line to the Microsoft
Window Clipboard.

Sorry for the missing informations!
i use Reflection 8.0.6 on a W2K-System and i am conected to a HP-UX 11 server. I open a file with dtpad. Then i want to use cut&paste within this file. But it doesn,t work!
