"netfmt" command fails with error

Hi,

When i run the command "netfmt" on my hpux 11.0 m/c, it fails with following error:
************************************
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: /opt/OV/lib/libovfmt.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory

netfmt (158) Cannot attach subsystem shared library, "/opt/OV/lib/libovfmt.sl".
Verify the existence and permissions of the library file.
Line 192 of "/etc/nettlgen.conf":
"SS:79:OVC:12:u:/opt/OV/lib/libovfmt.sl:ovcpm:subsys_79_format::OpenView"
*********************************

Any pointers are highly appreciated.

m/c details are as follows:
model : N4000
os : hpux 11.0

NOTE: The shared lib /opt/OV/lib/libovfmt.sl
is not present in the m/c

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Ramesh.K.R.

Re: "netfmt" command fails with error

According to PHSS_29516 s700_800 11.00 OV DM6.00 Consolidated Patch August 2003 this is a known issue. This is from the patch text:

PTSfc01444 : Getting errors while trying to start nettl. The problem can be solved by doing the following steps:
Step 1:link the libovextfmt.2 to libovextfmt.sl
Step 2:link the libovfmt.2 to libovfmt.sl
Step 3:export NLSPATH=/opt/OV/nls/%L/%N.cat:
/opt/OV/lib/nls/%L/%N.cat
"Downtime is a Crime."
