.r files are missing from HP-UX server 11.11

Dear All,

I have taken data base backup of QAD ERP, after that we have sut and up the db. while we checking the machine .r files are missing from the 11.11 HP UX server. our L3 team suggest its happened due to the HDD problem.

Can help to solve this.

Where are the files missing from? What directory? What file system?

Have you checked /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log to see if there are any disk errors reported?
