R390 and D390 connection to HDS 9970
I need to connect a R390 and D390 to a HDS array. We cant find any information to determine whether it will work or if we require special HBAs or other changes.
"R390 and D390 Server (running HP-UX 10.20) to connect to HDS 9970 via Inrange FC-16s switches. The fibre-channel card supported in the R390 server is A6684A."
Many Thanks

Re: R390 and D390 connection to HDS 9970
(1) You have an unsupported OS
(2) You will need at least this patch: http://www6.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PHSS_23581&context=hpux:800:10:20
(3) This matrix doesn't list 10.20: http://docs.hp.com/en/FC_SM/FC_SM.htm
(4) Known issues: http://docs.hp.com/en/J2635-90012/ch01s05.html
(5) check these out: http://docs.hp.com/en/J2635-90012/ch01s06.html http://docs.hp.com/en/J2635-90012/ch01s07.html?btnNext=next%A0%BB
(6) good luck

Re: R390 and D390 connection to HDS 9970
I'm running 11i v1 on very similar hardware.
You would if you ahve no applications needing the unsupported OS find this goal more achievable with a newer OS installed.
