Re: ram drive on hpux

I just want thank both of you for your answers, I really appreciate that. By RamDisk I meant to use part of memory as a local file system to load part of my database into memory. I would like to do this to improve the performance of the database. We have plenty of memory we would like to take advantage of that.

Thanks, Jose

There is a hack described in HP knowledge base if I remember correctly.
Just search KB with appropriate keyword.

Re: ram drive on hpux

I got the answer to what I was looking for. I have been working with HPUX for a while now; however, I never had the need to use or create a RamDrive until now. I did search the HP Technical Knowledge but I could not find anything and I suspected that there could be a third party option to this and I found it thanks to your answers.

Thansk, Jose
