Short term measure, set 'swapmem_on' = 1, to simulate extra memory being available.

Also, for timeslice, read the last posting in the link below. Recommended timeslice value is 10.

What is the value of the 'sys' cpu (sar -u)? Is it above 15-20%? Also, how hard are your disks working? sar -d 5 30?
