rbootd takes one full CPU

One both nodes (N-4000) of a MC/SG cluster 11.14 + PHSS_27246 + PHKL_27851, the process rbootd takes 100% of a CPU.
Why such a CPU consumption?

Re: rbootd takes one full CPU

PRODUCTION network runs on HP PCI 10/100Base-Tx Core lanics while HEARTBEAT uses HP A5506A PCI 10/100Base-TX 4 port lanics.
No use of APA.

Re: rbootd takes one full CPU

Well this has nothing to do wiht ServiceGuard, but do you actually need to use the rbootd daemon?
If not, simply change the /etc/rc.config.d/netdaemons file to have START_RBOOTD set to 0
and hten kill hte rbootd .
If you need to use rbootd, for what purpose is it needed? DTC Manager?

Re: rbootd takes one full CPU

I agreed with Melvyn... simply disable rbootd when you don't need it.

If you really(!) need it then you should call your response center and ask them for an inofficial rbootd patch. Thell them CR JAGae02033.

Re: rbootd takes one full CPU

That's what I did anyway, disabling rbootd in the netdaemons config file as there is no DTC manager on these nodes.
Thought it could have been related to MC/SG but actually not.
Thank you both for your feedback.
Sincerely,

Romaric.
