I would like to find out. Can i use RDP connection to connect HP-UX(runs on rx6600)? Which different will be between RDP and putty\Xwindows\iLO? I mean can i get some advantage by using RDP?
These days i use putty and X Windows and things are well.

It should keep you away from the HP-UX
system.

So, is there some actual problem which you
are trying to solve, or are you just looking
for trouble?

Re: RDP connections to HP-UX
hp-ux rdp
might find some products which might do what
you want, depending on exactly what that
might be. What's your budget?

Re: RDP connections to HP-UX
Thanks for answer.
I use X windows and i dont need to RDP. But one specialist want to configure something via VPN and asks me RDP access. I explained him
isnt putty\x windows\iLo ok for you. But he wants RDP. Maybe he doesnt know these softwares and want just RDP connection.
I use cygwin and there is no problem.
I just wonder why he want RDP

Rustam

Re: RDP connections to HP-UX
Ask him? I'd guess that a Windows user would
normally use Remote Desktop to access a
remote Windows system. That does not make it
the best choice when the remote system runs
HP-UX (or anything else other than Windows).
