Hi Guys,
Can anyone help, is ther a way to sync the system time so that it will not drift. This is because I have a rx4640 and a rx2620 and the system time is tune with comparson to the rx2620 manually. But after a couple of days, I found out that the time seems to drift and is 5mins delay . Due to application issue, the time is a very important material on this server. Can someone help. HP have already change the base io board, and no improvement.
Regards
Vincent

Re: re : rx4640 help
Hy, why don't You use and ntp server to sync your time, you just have to add your organization ntp server to the /etc/ntp.conf, or a internet time server near your location and startup xntpd, this will keep your time in sync all the time
Windows?, no thanks

Solution
HI Vincent,
The solution is to implement NTP(Network time protocol) server. NTP will automatically adjust the system time by making each second slightly longer or shorter to keep your system time accurate to within a few milliseconds all the time.
For further please see these,
