read .rec file that generate by Oracle EM
I have use OEM to rec the statistic of my database.It generated XXX.rec file.after I log out from OEM. Is there any to view this file.
I use wordpad and explorer . It can not read.
any idea

On the actual unix system(this is a unix/ux forum) try the vi editor.
If the file is binary, try this.
strings filename | more

Sony,
The .rec files created by OEM performance charts are to be played back through OEM performance Manager.
These files are not for user access. start oem console and then start Oracle Performance Manager. At the bottom on the left pane you will find a list of recordings which use the .rec files. when u delete the recording thru oem, the .rec file is deleted.
