Can anyone tell me some realtime senarios which your facing in your environment , Specifically in Performance management and disk management.

Broad topic.
Complex applictions involving windows.
A server environment for program code management stores data on an nfs mount.
Data is accessed from a windows client, which triggers a samba process on the Unix server which accesses NFS data.
I/O is high, especially writes. i/o wait increases.
How to tackle the problem of identifying the problem. Is it disk, network, cpu, storage?

Partition disk space fills up.
Network bottle necks.
Not enough memory.
Company won't pay to upgrade any above.
Kernel parms not set to Oracle specs.
