reboot error

I get the following error after a shutdown -ry 0 this just started
/sbin/auto_parms [1592] /tmp/sh123.113 cannot create
/sbin/auto_parms [8] who not found
/sbin/auto_parms [17] ps not found
/sbin/auto_parms [17] grep not found

any help would be great

Are /tmp and /usr mounted? What run-level are you on (who -r)?

yes both are mounted and run level 3

First check is /usr and/or /usr/bin mounted ?

should explain,sorry.
/tmp is normally a link from /usr/tmp, so if /usr is not mounted, any process trying for /usr/tmp will fail.
who/ps/grep are all located in /usr/bin, so again if /usr is not mounted ....
You can check this with : "which grep"
