Rebuilding SD Index

Some people have talked about rebuilding the SD Index used by swinstall,
swlist, etc. Need to correct misintallation problems with patches that have
passed 100% and not fully installed.

What is the name of this file and is there a procedure for repairing??

The SD index is /var/adm/sw/products/INDEX.

If you install something with swinstall, it should rebuild the INDEX file. If
this doesn't work, you can try moving the INDEX file out of the way first.

Just install something small, like the cleanup patch or the y2koscheck patch.
You can even force a reinstall of one of them if you want.
