Re: Rebuilding T-class (T520) server with HP-UX 10.20
Here is the steps for installing 10.20
1. Put the hp-ux 10.20 OS core Install Media in the CD drive .
2. Interrupt the boot process , before 10 second expires.
3. You can use the search command to see the boot device. And note down the path of the CD drive.
4. boot path ( ex: boot 10/2/5/2.0)
5. See if its strting the installation process.
6. If not make sure you have given the correct path , and your CDROM drive is working properly.
cheers.

SolutionFirst make sure you have a good CDrom (clean the CDrom first) & good HP-UX 10.20 Core OS media.
Power On the system > interupt the boot process > once you're in the BCH mode, do search (by typing SEA) to search the available boot device > look for the CDrom boot device / path
Once you found the CDrom path, try to boot from that device :
ex. CDrom hardware path is 1/2/3.4.0 (device P0)
boot 1/2/3.4.0
OR
boot P0
Hope this information can help you.
Cheers,
AW
