Recalled LVM patch PHKL 18542

In checking our new server HP issued a recall notice (p/n 5969-4533) sheet
saying remove 3 patches,one being PHKL_18542, and install PHKL_20333.

Checked our system (which was pre-configured at the factory) and both patch
PHKL_20333 and PHKL_18542 are installed.

Should 18542 be removed? Once removed do I need to reinstall 20333? Or can
things be left as is with no problems?

How did you determine that both of the patches were installed? Normally,
installing the superceeding patch should be enough. I would run cleanup and see
if that removes the bad patch, since it's been replaced by the newer one.

I did a swlist for the patches and that is how I found that both were
installed. You mentioned cleanup. To what are you refering to? You must excuse
my ignorance as I'm new at admin.

Hi

Try: man cleanup

Sorry for the lack of detail :)

cleanup is a program that is installed by a patch (currently PHCO_12140 for
10.20, & PHCO_19550 for 11.0)

Once installed, you can do a man on it.
