Received a DLPI message with an incorrect checksum
Not sure if this is the right forum, but on HP-UX 11.11, I get the following message in the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
Net_id 2 received a DLPI message with an incorrect checksum
cmcld: lan1 failed
cmcld : Subnet 11.0.0.0 down
cmcld : lan1 up
cmcld : Subnet 11.0.0.0 up
Failing sends on vc 134
Failing sends on vc 135
Failing sends on vc 136
Failing sends on vc 137
sending a devnull message on card1
I have a hyperfabric card (clic0) on that subnet (11.0.0.0) , and I can only ping it intermitently. As a result, I can't build successfully build an MCServiceGuard cluster using that node. Is there some patch I can apply, or some parameter I can add, to fix the issue. The outout of clic_stat is enclosed.
Thx..

Re: Received a DLPI message with an incorrect checksum
PHNE_27745 is a must for the hyperfabric card. Do you have it? Also PHNE_25388 and PHNE_28089

Re: Received a DLPI message with an incorrect checksum
Thx.. I had all 3 patches on my other 3 nodes (part of the same cluster), and on this one was missing PHNE_27745. Am putting this patch on now.

Re: Received a DLPI message with an incorrect checksum
Hi,
I know the "incorrect checksum" message from cmcld when the port on the switch is set to half duplex or something which does not match the card's setting.
just my 0.02$
Regards
Bernhard
