A couple of days ago we received an EMS message with the following error :
--------------
Adapter at hardware path 15/0/4/0/0 : Received BA_RJT as response to ABTS
Received BA_RJT as response to ABTS from device at port 0x10400
BA_RJT reason code is 0x3
Full BA_RJT payload is 0x30300
Probable Cause / Recommended Action:
The attempt to abort an I/O was rejected. This might indicate a non-PLDA compliant device.
Examine the reject reason code and fibre channel device logs for errors. If the problem persists, contact your HP customer representative.
---------------
I've tried searching everywhere to get more info about the reason code, but I've found nothing. Does anyone have a clue?

Solution
Check what you have hardware address-15/0/4/0/0. Check how card is functioning. fcmsutil /dev/tdx stat will help you with that. Do you see excessive link down or reset errors? You can also do ceratain tests on the card. man fcmsutil for details.
There is no substitute to HARDWORK

Re: Received BA_RJT as response to ABTS??
The stats look not that excessive to me :
Statistics From Link Status Registers ...
Loss of signal 0
Bad Rx Char 255
Loss of Sync 2
Link Fail 0
Received EOFa 0
Discarded Frame 0
Bad CRC 0
Protocol Error 0
