SolutionBEFORE doing anything, make sure you create TWO make_tape_recovery's with the -A option, and MAKE sure you have TWO full data backups!
Also, yes, select "mark what target has" Option. Then look for patches that are "software" related and include them.

In the mamage patch selections window make sure the 'Automatically select patches for software installed on the target' option is selected.

Re: Recomendations installing support plus march 2002 11.00
Use Manage Patch selection.
Unselect - include patches with selected (marked) software from the source.
Select - Automatically select patches for existing software on the target.
I would install then on a test server first to make sure that you are happy that they won't cause you any problems in live.
HTH,
Dave.

Re: Recomendations installing support plus march 2002 11.00
If I do this option appear this message:
The match operation failed. No matching software from the target
"hp1:/" was marked on the source "hp1:/cdrom/QPK1100".
What's the meaning?
Regards,
Justo.

Read the ' read before install' .. there is a note on LVM....
You can select the new QPK ( quality pack) bundle.
Good luck.

Re: Recomendations installing support plus march 2002 11.00
The "Match What Target Has" GUI selection (or, 'match_target' option in command line) applies best to 10.x releases. In 11.x the preferred method is to choose 'patch_match_target'. The 'patch_match_target' is the command line option with a GUI counterpart found under "Manage Patch Selection". Toggling the "Automatically select patches for software installed on the target" is the *apprropriate* action for your intention. That is, you want to select only patches which match software installed on your system.
Regards!
