Hello All ,
I am upgadrading an HP 9000 N-class server with 580Mhz cpu. The existing Cpu is of 440Mhz.
My question is that wheather i have to recompile the programs with the new Cpu beacause the old one is PA8500 and the new is PA8600.

You shouldn't have to recompile. Your OS is already HP-UX 11 and probably 64 bit, so all your programs should be OK.

Hi Ajith,
As long as your Operating system doesn't change (i.e. going from 32 to 64 bit), you don't need to recompile any program.
PA8600 is fully compatible with PA8500.
