recover data after pvcreate

Hi,

i know this may sound like a stupid question:

Is there any way i can recover data from a disk after i've do a pvcreate on it.

You already know the answer.
There is no way from that disk to recover data.

Please if you could be more specific.
1)Do you really want to get the data from the disk after pvcreate ?
OR
2)Want to know whether anyone else can recover the data after you do pvcreate the disk ?

The pvcreate(1M) command only writes to the very beginning of the disk... the PVRA. If you only performed vgcreate and if the disk was part of a VG before, then you potentially have a valid vgcfgbackup under /etc/lvmconf. In most cases you can restore the overwritten part easily using vgcfgrestore.
