Recovery using make_net _recovery !!

I have a ignite server with all client's archives !! When I try to do boot lan.< IP of ignite server> install from the client, I get this error.

failed to intialize

ENTRY_INIT
Status=7

What is this mean and how to solve this ?. Thanks for your help in advance !!

Yes it is on the ssame subnet . Actually I even tried direct connecting it with a cross over cable. It comes down with the same error !!!

Which NIC port on the server are you using to boot from?

I seem to recall that at one point there was a restriction that you could only boot from the built-in NIC on the server.

I do not know if that is still the case or not.

I am using the onboard nic 0/0/0/0 on both server and client !!

you can also try "search lan boot" from ISL to see if anything replies.

I assume you have configured the ignite server's DHCP service ? /etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab

Ah, I didnot configure that part . I did that and now I am getting all garbled in the screen and it says the terminal setup is set to hp and should be changed in the firmware. What should it be change to ? does vt100 works ?? also, I was going to gsp to update the terminal type, is there a different way ?.

I had to get in to GAP mode to update the terminal !! Thanks for all the help !!
