Reg ignite backup on tape
Hi guys,
I have two san switches..and one rx4640 server..wid only one fc card.
This fc card is connected to top san switch..zoning is also done.
But the problem is my MSL library also wid one fc card is connected to bottom switch...
Now how do i take ignite backup of my rx4640 server...please suggest....
As far as the filesystem bkup is concerned m taking thru lan bkup..DP software..
MSL4096 tape library..
rx4640 hpux 11iv2...
16 port san-switch...

No way without changing the topology.
Consider to backup to an ignite server.

I have another concern now , i have a ignite bkup on tape whose version is a mismatch with the OS DVD that m having..
Is there a way from which i can install this ignite on this server...if there is a version mismatch....
Bcoz now unless i change the topoly i cant even take ignite..now...i.e matching both versions...:(
