Regarding the latest firmware and patch upgrade for hpux 11 vi

Hi,
I have got a call to upgrade the firmware for all the hpux environments.

I have no prior experience in doing the machine firmware upgrade or patch installation.

Could anyone help me with this requirement.
Please let me know how to check the current status in the hpux box and also about where can i find details about the latest patches.

regarding patches the ITRC patch database is your friend. Here you can find all of the latest patch bundles:

Firmware:
On most servers you can connect to the MP and review the installed version:

MP:CM> sysrev

Now you can go to this site

http://www.hp.com/go/bsc

and check if there are newer versions.

Hi,

You need HP Engineer help to upgrade all the firmware in your boxes. There are few firmware which is available in the form of patches, but not all.

You can get firmware versions from GSP/MP by using "sysrev" command and "pdcinfo" command from unix.

Login in to the server with root or root privileged and give this below command

This means Firmware Version is : 46.34
