Reinstall OnlineJFS

Hi,
I want to upgrade an rp7420 from v11.00 to v11.23 by cold install, but I've got the OnlineJFS SW and I can´t lose it during the upgrade. Do you know how can I reinstall it once the system will be reinstalled?

Hi:

If you are cold-installing using the Enterprise Operating enviornment (EOE) or Mission Critical (MOE), then OnlineJFS is included as a part of that OE.

If you simply using the Foundation OE, you will need to purchase an OnlineJFS license; obatin a codeword; and install the product from the Application DVD.

I've got the Foundation version, but when I purchased this machine it was having OnlineJFS installed, but no OnlineJFS was delivered to me. Do you mean I have to obtain this CD? If I've got the license key obtained throw vxlicrep on the machine, there is no way of been able to reinstall it?

If you are cold-installing, you will need the media I cited.

You can order the media via SUM:

I'm not able to free download it... however I found out a Application SW CD with OnlineJFS inside, but I don't have to codeword to unlock it. Can I obtain the codeword from the machine that is having the OnlineJFS installed?

No, you are upgrading and need a new codeword.

Make sure that the Application media you have does not have a bug in its license:
