Reinstallation of HP-UX
Hi all,
I will bw attempting to reinstall a HP-UX 10.20 on a HP700 soon. Anybody got any advise pls do give.

Be sure you have a copy of the Installing HP-UX manuals from docs.hp.com and a recent copy of HP-UX (dated 1999 or later). After installing HP-UX, add the quality patch bundle from your SupportPlus CDROM. If you don't have the SupportPlus CDROM, get the critcal and general release patch bundles from itrc.hp.com. Don't try to run without the latest patches.

Re: Reinstallation of HP-UX
Before you start the installation, you need to have a good backup + a Good Ignite tape.
If you want to keep data files on different VG?s you can make map files(vgexport), make hardcopy of ioscan /dev/vg* etc.
Make copy of config files in /etc, like hosts; fstab; automounter, /etc/rc.config.d etc.
