Does anyone have a good procedure for exporting all the printers on a HP-UX B10.20 machine (also running HP Jetadmin) to e.g. a tape?
The idear is to do a cold reinstall of the machine with HP-UX 11i, and then somehow import all the printer settings from the tape. Installing all the printers manually would be quiet time consuming!
Your help is appreciated.

Re: Reinstalling HP-UX and quick install of the 'old' printers.
when the printer is installed kernel has been build to drive the printer driver.(remember system will shutdown after installing the printer to build kernel)
when you shift from 10.2 to 11i, you can't extract only printer parameters from 10.2 backup. You need to re-install the printer

If it works between two nodes in a cluster, it could also work in your case - would have to be tested though...

Re: Reinstalling HP-UX and quick install of the 'old' printers.
SAM has a option to save/restore LP spooler.
You can use the save option to save your spooler configuration and then restore it after reinstall.
You can find addqueue in /opt/hpnp/bin
