Remote/attn lights on rp7400 servers

What does the "remote" light in the front of the rp7400 servers indicate? I (think) I understand the attn light and am able to turn it off via the GSP but what does the remote light indicate and how is this turned off.

It's normal. It means your LAN console is enable. Do this to check (goto GSP by entering CTRL-B)
In GSP ..

GSP > el

That will chck the LAN console status and it should say ENABLED (hence the light is on).

This could be due to modem login has been enabled in the system

login to gsp and check for it.

Hi,

With new GSP, the default is lan console enable. So you have the remote light on.

To switch it off :
GSP --> el --> d
